The things that shaped me.

Engineering is what I do. These are the experiences that shaped who I am — and why I approach AI differently than anyone else.

SURVIVAL

The crash that changed everything

Andy Sabo — Pilot

Bangalore, India · 1990

I was on a commercial airliner that crashed. I survived. Most didn't.

That moment rewired how I think about risk, preparation, and what actually matters. When you've faced the kind of event where the outcome isn't guaranteed, daily business stress loses its power. You learn to focus on what's real — and let go of everything that isn't.

I bring that perspective to every engagement. AI projects can feel high-stakes, and they are — but I've learned the difference between genuine risk and noise. That clarity is something I pass on to every client.

AVIATION

Licensed pilot since 1998

After surviving a crash, most people would never get on a plane again. I got a pilot's license.

Flying teaches you systems thinking in a way nothing else does. Checklists. Procedures. Redundancy. The absolute requirement that everything must work — because when it doesn't, the consequences are final.

That's the same rigor I apply to AI agent deployment. Every agent I build goes through pre-flight checks. Every workflow has fallbacks. Every system has monitoring. Not because it's best practice — because I know what happens when systems fail.

SERVICE

India. China. Tibet. Fighting human trafficking.

Christian Missions

Multiple trips to India, China, and Tibet for Christian mission work. Building relationships across cultures, languages, and borders. Working with local communities on the ground — not from a conference room.

Anti-Trafficking Work

Joined the fight against human trafficking — one of the darkest industries on earth. This work requires patience, discretion, and an unwavering focus on the mission. The same qualities I bring to protecting client data and building systems that can't be compromised.

These experiences taught me something that can't be learned in a classroom: there are things worth fighting for, and the way you fight matters as much as winning. That's how I approach every client engagement — with purpose, with integrity, and with the understanding that what we build has real consequences for real people.

WHY IT MATTERS

This isn't a resume — it's the foundation

Every AI consultant can list tools and frameworks. None of them bring this combination:

Survival Perspective

When you've faced mortality, you stop wasting time on things that don't matter. I focus on outcomes, not vanity metrics. Results, not demos.

Pilot's Discipline

Checklists save lives. My AI agents follow the same discipline — verified outputs, safety patterns, and the "draft, don't send" rule. Nothing goes live without a pre-flight check.

Global Experience

Working across cultures — from Tokyo boardrooms to Tibetan villages — taught me to communicate with anyone. Technical concepts without jargon. Business value without buzzwords.

Moral Clarity

Fighting human trafficking sharpens your sense of right and wrong. I won't build systems that exploit people. Your data stays yours. Your agents work for you — not for a surveillance economy.
